The British Medical Journal-Romanian Edition (BMJ Ro), the local version of the BMJ, one of the world`s most influential and widely read medical journal, has been appearing in Romania for over 15 years and is published by TARUS Media since 2006.
BMJRo updates local doctors, academics, policy makers and other medical professionals with the rapid worldwide progress in various medical fields and provides a high quality and reliable material for continuing education of Romanian doctors and pharmacists.
Given its modern, dynamic editorial concept, which is committed to the high BMJ ethical and scientific standards, BMJ Ro has a top position among the relevant specialist publications in Romania. BMJ Ro provides a genuine combination of medical research and medical practice, news and views from around the world, a platform for debate on most up-to-date health issues and lastly, but not least, a pleasant reading. Its main mission is to better address the professional requirements of both the generalists (supporting them to bridge the gap between primary and secondary care) and the specialists (keeping them informed of developments in areas other than in their own).
The electronic edition of the BMJRo,
www.bmj.ro, launched in May 2000, was redesigned in 2008 in an effort to provide better services to existing users and attract new ones.
